Cold or Flu?!

Question: Alright, around 3 this afternoon I started feeling very tired. So I went to lay down but when I closed my eyes they started burning. For me thats a sign that I have a fever. So I took my temperature and it was 102.3. I took some tylenol and laid back down. For the past 8 hours or so my temperature has been on a sliding scale from 101 to 103.5.

The one thing thats bugging me is I dont feel sick at all. Except for the lighheadness from the fever.

Is this a cold or the flu? or something else?

Can't really tell at this point, beyond there is an infection somewhere. As long as you can drink plenty of fluid and hold it down, don't try fighting the fever too much. You mostly want to keep it below 102, since your body can function quite well in the higher temperature but virus and bacteria can't. It's a body defense to limit the numbers of the infecting army. Rest and drink, and wait to see what pops up next. Colds don't usually cause a fever, though the flu does. But it could be any number of viruses just getting started. At this point, all you can do is wait it out. Drink so you don't dehydrate, rest so your body has energy to fight, and just aim to keep the fever below 102. As long as you do that, you should be okay.

Not sure but check out this web site

Symptoms of flu are usually sudden and body temperature is usually above 102. So from what you described, this sounds more like a flu.
