Is there anythin else I can do to prevent pimples?!

Question: I take doxycycline and use Differin. These were prescribed my dermatologist but now she moved away so my regular doctor fills the prescriptions when I need them. I have had skin/pimple issues since I was twelve and I'm now almost eighteen. I thought I'd be done with this by now. Also I seem to break out the week before and the week of my period. Any advice would be great! Thanks!

drink lots of water

cleanse and tone

dont eat fatty or greasy foods in excess amounts

eat plenty of fruits and veg

smile and dont worry - everyone gets pimples!

shower

DRINK LOTS OF WATER it flushes out ur toxins in your system wich cause pimples

no ketchup

drink water and get proactive

Seriously, I'm 25 and I still have pimple issues. I ditched all the rx crap and got proactive, it's the only thing that has worked for me.

Drinking a lot of water, changing your pillow cases regularly, also sometimes taking birth control will clear up your pimples.

drink lots of water and clean your face regularly.

Wash your face daily and with something like soap or something you buy at the store! And that's just because you started your period i do the same thing it's normal go see another doctor if you want?

This may sound duh duh but watch your diet. Only drink water and juice. I wash my face with Phisoderm, my friend uses ProActive

wash ur face evrey morning and night & try not to touch ur face so much &if not try proactiv. good luck!

wash your face with Aveeno ultra calming foaming cleanser and do when you wake up and when your going to bed, or put toothpaste on some pimples

My daughter, believe it or not, has tried Pro-active which did not work for her but Clearasil in the pump bottle did work for her. She has oily skin but has not had issues with Clearasil.

Drink lots of water, stay away from sugary drinks and eat a balanced diet. Some pimples are caused by a lack of minerals in the diet. Breaking out before and after your period can't be helped much, since that's hormonal and nothing to do with any bad dietary habits you might have. I was the same before I had my daughter. Not that I recommend babies for pimple clearance!

To help clear up your skin u should wash ur face with Johnson's baby shampoo. it may sound crazy but it really helps. It removes dead skin cells and cleans and moisturizes ur face. I use it and i have a pretty clean skin complexion.

Don't touch your face, exercise regularly and drink plenty of water, avoid fried foods.

Hope this helps! Merry Christmas!

I actually heard that birth control just makes it worse, but maybe you could look it up just to make sure.

When my pimples got bad I went to the doctor.
He told me to wash my face with Cetaphil, and if my face gets dry use a lotion called Impruv, which both you don't need a prescription for. But what he did prescribe to me was: Clyndoxyl Gel(to use every night), Clindets(optional), and Minocycline pills(to get rid of bacteria in your body that may be causing it.)

He also told me that i should change my pillows regularly, drink at least three glasses of water a day, and don't use stuff that you see on advertisements, such as Clean and Clear, because it will just dry out your skin.

pimples can be from many reasons. It could be from hormones, or it could be sports, or it could just be from not taking care of your face, etc.

All of this helped me a lot, so maybe it can help you. Go to a doctor, and see what prescriptions are good for you. Because my skin completely cleared up within a month.
