Why did my pimples clear when I took an antibiotic?!

Question: I took an antibiotic for an infection on my arm and it made my face amazingly clear. (Of course now that I'm done with them my face is breaking out). Not that I'm coplaining that it cleared up my face. Just wondering why?

Somtimes really bad acne requries an antibiotic, and if you were taking one for an infection on your arm, it was specifically for skin bacteria and it helped with your face too, maybe you should talk to your doctor about possibly a trial on it for your face if it bothers you. GOod luck!

Your acne may be caused by bacteria (thus, the antibiotic cleared it up). A friend of mine was on an antibiotic for her acne for many years. I think it helped but dont remember the name. She got it from a dermatologist.

I take antibiotics for acne. It works really well. Talk to your doc about it.

antibiotics are medicals against virile infections.....the wide range antibiotics can help with the skin infections as are zipps
