Any persistent cough without a known cause should be checked out by a dr. Make sure you tell them if you are having any sputum production. Is is worse when you lay down, or sit up. Are you having any temperature or night sweats? And are you using any over the counter medications? It may be nothing...but it could be something further testing is needed.
