How to relieve pain in the ears?!


Question: I'm having some ear pain do to a head cold. I've taken some meds for the cold but nothing seems to help with the ears. Anyone know of ways to relieve some of the pain/pressure. thanks

You may have an ear infection in one or both ears. You should go th the doctor and get checked. If you do have an infection, he can give you some antibiotics. In the mean time, put a few drops of warm(body temp) olive oil in your ears. I hope you feel better.

numb it, use ice cubes

You should take ibuprofen aka Motrin, Advil. It is great no only as an anti-inflammatory, but it will help relieve and dry up the congestion in your ears, and any pressure anywhere else. Tyelenol and asprin just don't have the same effect. Also, make sure you cold medicine doesn't have any type of pain reliever in it already, if not than take some ibuprofen.
