Lung Problem?!


Question: I went to the doctor and he said my lungs are clogged up and the air sack are dried up at the bottom. (full of dried congestion) And my lungs are shrank at the bottom and the liver or something is pushed up.

The name starts with an A...it's a long word...
Anybody remember a word like this!

You probably have atelectasis. This is a mechanical problem by which the air sacs shrink when you get congested lungs and the airways become pulled up. What you need to do are deep breathing exercises. Slowly take in a breath as deep as you can and hold it in for about ten seconds, then exhale normally. Repeat nine more times. Do this manuver every hour that your awake. (At least 10 times a day) This will stretch out the alveoli (air sacs) and help you to breath better. Also, after you do the deep breathing you should cough to clear any gunk that you've loosened. Good Luck, Hope you feel better soon!
