Kinda bad sore throat.... help?!

Question: Hey guys! I just got the sore throat a couple days ago, and I can't talk clearly. The mucus in my throat is clogging up my voice box and I can talk I just need to cough and spit the mucus out. I've been trying antibotics but I can't talk clearly. Any suggestions? I have had this for only 2 days... when can I talk clearly again? It's ruining my life! I can't speak clear enough for people to hear me. HELP!

I know your pain main. Make sure you finish all your antibiotics though. If you stop as soon as you feel good the bacteria thats left can mutate into something thats resistant to that antibiotic and then your more screwed then before.

Instead I just used some "Chloraseptic Sore Throat Relief Strips" that don't taste bad at all! Instead of those disgusting sore throat sprays that make me vomit just thinking about them, use the chloraseptic. Tastes like oranges and numbs your throat. Looks like those Listerine strips and you can get it at your local Walmart.

Also I took a bunch of vitamins about one every 4 hours.

Continue to drink lots of water. On top of water you might want to drink some hot tea. I like old fashion lemon but I think green tea works better. Also I would drink a lot of orange juice. Like a gallon a day.

Also use vics vapor rub or they even have out now are vics tissues made by Kleenex. Plus make sure you have a humidifier in your room. The humidifier saved my life haha.

Then there are couple of cold medicine/sinus medicine things that induce mucus and coughing. I bought a thing of Tylenol Sinus daytime medicine. Makes you feel drunk and makes your nose clear up and you just cough phlegm and snot for about 4 hours. DO NOT get anything that suppresses coughing or suppresses sinus pressure. All that does is it makes it stay in your system longer which is bad.

And the last things are stay warm, lay down and relax, eat some chicken noodle soup/ramin/any kind of soup, and sleep often.

Works like a charm, and good luck.

-EDIT-

Mucus is caused by your body's defense mechanism to dust and other particle matter like viruses. In your nose you have a mucus membrane that oozes mucus which is a slimy material to catch dust and viruses. When you get sick it usually is from someone else being sick and sneezing the virus into the air. You then breathe it in and it sticks to your mucus where it then multiplies and attacks your body. Wonderful stuff, is it not?

Water is good, keep up with that. I would suggest Mucinex or something. Another thing that gets rid of mucus are spicy hot things like soup and jalapenos, I would also suggest chicken noodle soup w/ garlic. Vicks Vapor Rub is a good thing as well.

You should try soup, try something with chicken and garlic in it, garlic seems to help most of the time and try Vick's vapor rub.. Also dont drink more than 8 bottles of water a day, it's actually not good to do that, you could actually fill your lungs up with water if you drink to much, and you wouldn't realize it until later.
