My investigation on the products i'm allergic to, can anybody help?!

Question: My investigation on the products i'm allergic to, can anybody help?
I once used dove cream around my mouth, and it got red and flakey... the redness went, the flakeyness stayed. So i decided to use aqueous cream - i was also allergic to that. So my mouth is red and flakey again. I want to buy acne cream but I'm afraid I might be allergic to THAT.

1 - I looked at the bottles of dove and aqueous cream
2 - I compared the ingredients
3 - I found that there was only one similarity... that was phenoxyethanol.

Question 1) does that mean that i'm allergic to phenoxyethanol?

Question 2) are there any other products that i can be allergic to in dove? (alot of people are alergic to dove cream)

- All help appreciated and thanked

If this ingrediant is the only common factor, then yes, you very well could be allergic to it. I would suggest avoiding that ingredient, but if you want you could do a skin test with several different products with that ingrediant.

Here are a couple links about this ingredient for you to look at. One has a list of products that contain the ingredient. I dont know that it is a complete list, but it will help.

Ironically the next link says, 'Harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. May cause reproductive defects. Severe eye and skin irritant'

Unfortunately, for the sensitive, there are numerous chemicals in every type of cosmetic creams. Just about everything you can get in the drugstore/supermarket shelves are loaded with chemicals. I know because my skin is very sensitive also. I have learned to use organic virgin coconut oil and olive oil on my skin. It has to be organic in order that no chemicals are added, and coconut oil is absorbed by the skin without clogging the pores or creating acne, and it also heals the skin. When I apply it to a cut, within days even the scar tissue heals well. Here's my best supplier of coconut oil (which can be used on any part of your body).
