Eczema on my chest for the 1st time...itches.?!

Question: I think I have eczema on my chest. I've never had this before but I don't have enough money (no insurance) right now to see a physician. It's a red rash all over my chest and it itches like crazy. If I scratch it, the skin will bleed. This rash was preceeded by these little sesame seed like bumps on the palm of my hand and the bottom of my feet. They are almost completely gone.

If I look in a bright light, I can see that my pores look open and red.

Is there anyway to relieve the itch because it's seriouslly driving me insane? I've tried vaseline, eucerin, some generic lotion with aloe vera. Some of the lotions burnt my skin.

don't go to the doctor if your sure its eczema. even for a general dermatitis. theres not a whole lot they can do for you anyway.
my son has had VERY sensitive skin since he was born so i can give you a few ideas...
AVEENO-bath and lotion. this stuff works wonders. use it everyday for about a week, and i bet ya you'll see a major difference.
some kind of over the counter cortisone(sp) creame. get the highest over the counter dose you can find. i think maybe its 1%. not exactly sure.
i haven't tried aquaphor because the aveeno works so well, but i have heard this also works very well.

now if none of this works...i WOULD recommend seeing a dermatologist or SOMEONE, for a prescription strength medication.

good luck! i know how frustrating these skin problems can be..

Try hydrocortisone cream on the affected area. Also, try not to scratch it because it can get infected. I get little itch dry patches on my body during the dry, winter months. I started using the Gold Bond medicated lotion last year, and it worked well. However, if it gets infected you will have to see a physician. There are free clinics out there.

I had eczema on my legs really bad when I was younger. Honestly I tried EVERYTHING and nothing gave me relief, I too scratched until I bled, lotion burned me the whole 9..I know its horrible, I would wake up scratching! Its really hard but try not to take hot showers, it dries your skin out more and makes you want to scratch more. And if youre scratching in your sleep put socks over your hands at night. Its not much but I hope it gets better for you..I feel your pain

Well Look into it, It may not be Eczema

BUT if it is, I had Sever eczema during the summer from June to beginning of august. And they thought I had just Hives all over me, But What it was, is that my eczema got so bad it turned into Hives which made this situation so much worse. They put me on so much steroids it was insane. SO if you think its eczema and you have it that bad, there is places that will take you without health insurance, The Hospital only gave me stuff for the hives, But once I found out it was eczema on top of it, I took this like Liquid gel stuff that my aunt gave to me that she uses for her eczema , its pretty expensive but my rash went away within 24 hours! but i had to suffer for almost 2 and half months be for that

You can spray ummm... That stuff on you when you get a burn? Not sure whats its called but it works a little bit. cools it down alot.

Look into psoriasis
