I've had asthma for 19 years and what you describe does sound like it. Many things can trigger asthma and it's different for everyone. While running or waking up short of breath in the morning could affect one person, it doesn't mean someone else with asthma will have the same symptoms. Asthma can come and go and you can go through cycles where it's worse at one point and better at others.

The best thing to do is talk to your doctor and talk to him or her about your treatment options. You should get a rescue inhaler that you can use whenever you have an acute attack. They might recommend that you go on a daily preventative medicine, also.

im not sure but i get the same feeling like i cant breathe or anything

well you could have exsircize asthma. thats what i have. if that didnt help a little, go see a doctor and ask for an inhaler

That doesn't sound like asthma. Yes, asthma attacks come early in the morning usually. The trouble is more while breathing out , not while taking a breath in.
It is too early to say whether you have asthma. If the trouble comes frequently, that it time for you to consult a doctor instead of trying to diagnose it yourself.

It could just be allergies aggravating your breathing. But if you wake up with a feeling of shortness of breath, see a doctor. It's better to make sure what it is.

Good luck, and God bless!

Could be stress, I have severe asthma and it feels tight, gets a very strong tickle and I start coughing and coughing, I can't catch my breath. In between coughs if I'm lucky I can take my inhaler.

It's also possible that you have acute asthma, which I started out with when I was a kid. The only way to tell for sure is to go to the doctor, it's simple, they just put their stethoscope on your back, check your lungs to see if it sounds like organ pipes (piano)

they may also check your oxygen level by putting this clip on your finger for a few minutes.

Just go to your doctor, the exam won't hurt a bit.

Yes you could have asthma. There are different types of asthma so I would definitly go to the doctor. Asthma isn't somthing to take lightly , so you should really go get it checked !

Take care!
