Brain tumor? Should I get another opinion?!

Question: When I was in high school, which was like about seven years ago, I told my mother about the frequent headaches I was having. Blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, severe throbbing headaches, blackouts, sensitivity to light and sound, all that fun stuff. She took me to the doctor and they took a scan. They told us that I had a mass in my head. It may be cancerous. They waited a week while putting me on steriods to null the pain, I guess...just made me look like a human ballon. and so the week went by and they did another scan. They told us that it didn't look like a tumor and it was just a mass in my head (the size of a softball) that hadn't formed all the way at birth. I still continue to get these frequent headaches, now with more blurred vision. So, the question is, should I get a different opinion???

Go to an Opthamologist, who is a medical doctor specializing in eyes. Have him do an eye exam to check your eyes first. It could be there is an unrelated problem taking place in your eyes. Maybe a simple one.

In what geographical part of your brain was the mass located?

Do you have access to a copy of the scan results from 7 years ago? If so take them with you to the opthamologist and then on to visit a different neurologist for a second opinion.

If I was evaluating your situation the first test would be eyes for vision problems, than a MRI to check for changes in the size, shape and location of the mass.

You need a physician to examine you.

Depending upon the severity of your symptoms, and the current date and time, have you considered going into Emergency - at the very least they maybe able to help you coordinating a more recent scan and evaluating your concerns.

With kind and gentle regards,

I certainly would. Quite naturally, I wouldn't tell the next doctor about the other doctor's opinion. You are paying for a second and third opinion, etc. Let the doctors do their work. What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, WHO can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. BEFORE you enter a room or building, say quietly "Peace Be To This House." - Luke 10:5 The house that I am referring to is the planet which is God's house. Those who are where you are, won't know why they are so peaceful. Now for the BIG GUNS, I want for you to read Psalm 35 to (Plead My Cause) - It is a long-winded, worthwhile and very valuable psalm. Ask the Lord sincerely for His help and he will respond to you in a favorable way. I wish you well. Peace, Love and God Bless.

very important to do so, to see what's going on with you, wouldn't waste any more time either
good luck to ya

anytime your not happy with your diagnosis

F*** yeah you should what if the first Dr. was wrong... you could be worrying about this tumor for no reason!
