Can i spread my cold through cookies?!

Question: Despite being sick with a cold, I need to make Christmas cookies for friends and family as I do every year. Can I spread my cold to people who eat the cookies when they are done? What if I accidentally cough or sneeze on them?

You can always buy a mask to wear while you are making the cookies to prevent that from happening. Keep your hands away from your face and make sure you wash them with soap and water before getting started and anytime you have to touch the cookies with your hands.

The heat will kill the cold virus, but if you sneeze when its done, then yeah. Go buy a already made dough and bake it and put foil over it real quick, if you sneeze no prob

Yes, you can spread the cold. You should just buy some and save those you care about the suffering involved in being sick. Would you want them to make you food when they are sick and cause you to get sick? I would hope your family is not so selfish as to put you at risk and vice versa.

Any one who is sick should not handle food in any way, shape, form or description, except the food they themselves are eating. Colds are highly contagious.

It won't be spread if you touch the dough before heating, but after you get them out try not to touch them.
