If a female performs oral sex on a male - STD Question...?!

Question: I'm having trouble finding the correct info on the net for a project; different sources are saying different "facts." If a sexually active male is given oral sex by a virgin female - can she contract an STD? if so, what kinds...TY.

When performing oral sex on a male you are more likely to contract an std/sti than a man performing oral sex on a woman. Of course, people will blast me for that but I will say oral sex is considered "safer" sex and also is considered low risk - but this doesn't mean it has NO risk. It does...

If you are the female performing oral sex on the male, these are known risks:
Chlamydia
Gonorrhea
Hepatitis A*
Herpes (RARE)
HPV (warts)
Shigella*
Syphilis

If you are the man receiving oral sex from a female, these are the known risks:
Chlamydia
Gonorrhea
NGU
Herpes
Syphilis

I will say even though Chlamydia can infect the throat, it isn't common to see. Even the CDC mentions about not testing from Chlamydia of the throat, but more so for Gonorrhea of the throat. The reason why it can be received through fellatio more so than cunnilingus is because 1) the infect penis can hit the back of your throat or 2) the penis can hit the back of the infect throat. It's bacterical, not virual like Syphilis.

Either way, it's always good to be protected to up your chances of no infection. Below is an STD Risk Chart I have found through many sites on the web, this site is from San Francisico City Clinic, others are located throughout the web.

well if she gives the guy oral sex and the guy has a disease then she can get it orally. chylamida and others can live in the throat and be passed on.

yes.....the reason is obvious..if he has any STD germ it will enter her body and she can contact all types of STDS in her mouth and throat of course....instead of vagina and cervix....no STD is exception....do you think mouth is not part of the body and vagina is!

If the girl has gonococcal pharyngitis, the boy will get gonorrhea.
If the girl has cold sore, the boy will get genital herpes and vice versa.
Chlamydia, human papillomavirus (HPV), gonorrhea, herpes, hepatitis (multiple strains), and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
