seen several people go from this horrible disease, and been affected to their off springs reaction to the fact they could go the same way
i don't think i would take the test, as if i knew that i had it i would quickly take the matter in my own hands

yes, so that i wudnt have any children, it oonly takes 1 bad allele 2 inherit it, so i wudnt want my children 2
Well I don't know, if you take it it can affect whether you get insurance on certain things or not, but if you don't it would put any children you may have in the future in problematic situations too.
If you did take it you could plan your family for the future.
What is that disease cause Huntington is my last name. That sounds creepy to have a disease named after my family.
I would take the test to be on the safe side but still that is some creepy ****. WOAH.
Given that there is no cure for HD, then I would not take the test/. I'm going to die anyway, whether I have it or not.
That is a really tough question to answer. I think it would depend on whether you wanted children or not. First instincts would be to say no...don't want to know, as I would be afraid. On the other hand I wouldn't want to bring a child into the world if I thought there was a risk it would develop HD...so if having children was on the agenda I would have to have the test first to make sure that it wouldn't be passed on to another generation.
I think counselling would be an idea before any test was undertaken to make sure it was the right decision and that you could deal with the results should they be bad.
