Chicken pox?!

Question: How can you make chicken pox go away faster? I have them at the moment, and me and my family are going on holiday in 3 days!!!! I've had chicken pox for 4 days, and they are a little bit better. I don't want to let my family down by not going on holiday with them.
THIS IS URGENT!!!!

Sorry, but it might not happen for you. Remember, YOU aren't letting anybody down. YOU didn't choose to get chicken pox, and YOU couldn't control the contraction of a virus.

The first symptoms of chickenpox often are a fever, a headache, and a sore throat. You or your child may feel sick, tired, and not very hungry. The chickenpox rash usually appears about 1 or 2 days after the first symptoms start. Some children get the chickenpox rash without having a fever or other early symptoms.

It usually takes 14 to 16 days to get the symptoms of chickenpox after you have been around someone with the virus. This is called the incubation period.

After a chickenpox red spot appears, it usually takes about 1 or 2 days for the spot to go through all its stages. This includes blistering, bursting, drying, and crusting over. New red spots will appear every day for up to 5 to 7 days.

You or your child can go back to work, school, or day care when all blisters have crusted over. This is usually about 10 days after the first symptoms start.

med

lots of rest, low fat, wholesomefood. Oatmeal aveno baths can help itching. Take benadryl to not scratch

hot tea will bring them all out

If you are scratching then just focus on something besides scratching. Put on some aloe gel. It'll help stop the urge. And you could also put on some Pox Relief. It's available at Walgreens or any drug store

It's caused by a virus, and like all viruses you just have to wait it out. You can ask your doctor if you are still contagious, if you are no longer contagious you should be able to go with your family.

In some cases the antiherpes meds (Zovirax, etc..) can shorten duration.
But usually will last 12 to 14 days no matter what you do.
