Arthritis: my grandmother has it. what are the best ways to keep her out of pain!


Question: she always complians of a 'sudden pain' in her leg when she walks - and that keeps her from even getting out of bed. She hasnt been out of the hous for weeks from this pain. She is able to walk while holding on to something but she frequently has to rest because of the pain. Pesonally, just based on intuition, I think she should walk on it even when its in pain, and slowly it will go away. But from a medical standpoint: should she be walking and moving around or is it better to rest it? Any other treatments to keep away the pain? Thanks!

yes she should be walking telll her to try those hot packs like thermo care...and an over the counter pain reliever such as naproxen or ibuprophen if they dont work its time to hook grandma up with some pain meds....vicodin, percocet
