As drugs go, no chance. But you have the added pressure of the fact that it is readily available. You cannot distance yourself from it.

Coke, heroin, crack, meth, pot, is more addictive than nicotine....

I don't recommend smoking it is a nasty and smelly habit and you are throwing your money away on a habit that does nothing for you.
I think it depends on the person and what their vices are. I know a lot of people who can quit drugs and drinking but can't kick the smoking habit... but others who have no problem getting rid of the smoking, but still can't get rid of some less legal habits.
It just depends on you and your actual addiction to it.
Different drugs are addicting[on different levels] to different people.
Heroin,Perscription pills,nicotine,coke,marijuana,GHB,Date rape drugs.__I mean the list goes on.
But nicotine is most likely not as addicting as Coke,GHB,Date rape drug, and Heroin.
But...Its still addicting.
i think it could be, because i smoke and am having a hard time quitting. but in retrospect, when i started smoking it was not natural. i mean you cough and gag and puke. but you develop a taste and a hunger for it. then it becomes a need. then you are addicted. it could be like the other guy said. it may be caffiene.
well after a long hard think and 10 cigs later id say no to see someone come off heroin scares the crap out of me
It is certainly high on the list. Cocaine and meth are right up there too; whether any of these (or others) is notably more addictive, I don't know.

There are much more addictive drugs than nicotine (weed isn't one of them, some answers are misinformed). The most addictive common one is probably methamphetamine, which causes addiction after the first try in 85% of cases.
Many drug addictions are more than just cravings and bad moods you can get from nicotine, but can cause physical illness and even death after immediate withdrawal.
Of course some addictions can be swapped for others easily, like methadone given to people with opiate addiction.
