Skin heals wierdly?!

Question: I don't know if this is normal or not. Whenever I get a little cut or burn or something, my skin makes like a ring around the edges of the cut skin. My skin also takes forever to heal. Could this be a sign of a problem??

If the ring is a raised area while and after the cut heals......it could be a keloid. A keloid is just your skin healing but the skin cells doen't stop when they should and make more cells than needed which creates the ring or bump. First, you ned to get a definitive diagnosis and if it IS a keloid, they can be treated with steroid injections into the lesion itself. Hopefully, it will flatten the scarred area.

If you always have trouble healing from cuts, burns and scrapes, you may want to get your blood sugar checked to see if you are pre-diabetic or diabetic. That is ONE symptoms of diabetes or metabolic disorder.

Talk to your doc about this. I am diabetic and it sounds like how my skin heals... takes forevers...
