From what the neurologist told me, they can be. My uncle had two within a couple of days. Fortunately, he survived and had to have surgery. His mother (my grandmother) had some issues as well. My cousin gets strange migraines, as does my younger sister. I found out recently that my father has been having problems, too. I have been having some unusual problems myself. One of the first questions they asked was whether there is a history of aneurysms in the family at my neurologist's office (actually, he's a neurosurgeon. Yes, there's a difference).

If you're really concerned, go see a specialist. You can never be too safe when it comes to things like that. You'll get a lot of opinions here. But for something this serious, you need a specialist who can do the proper testing to rule anything out.

Best wishes and sorry to hear about the loss of your family due to this disease.

Aneurysm's and varicose veins have a family tendency but are not inherited.

no they are not family associated possibly cannot be proven scientifically not to worry todays medical easy diagnosis
