You can, I have herpes and was interested in joining a few years ago. I asked the Marines and Army recruiters and they both said yes. If you want to be 110% positive, why don't you just call up the recruiters from a pay phone and pretend you are someone else looking to join or have one of your buddies do it for you.

at meps or your recruiter they will ask you if any of your health conditions have changed since the time your orginally signed. I don't see them not allowing you to join because of it but they may have a doctor give you a lil education about it because its a public health concern.

good thing they dont test for intellagance, quick cure, cures herpes, after all its just cold sores
