Hi ItsABoy

Didn't think the ol' banana peel had any uses, huh? Think again! It gets rid of warts and when toasted to a crisp, gives roses and other flowers a huge boost of potassium to help them flower. Gardeners swear by it!

How it works: Loads of potassium in the banana peel.

Recipe: Rub the inside of a little piece of a banana peel on a wart every night. You should see results within one to two weeks.

I heard if you put a small piece of duct tape on it and leave it there....eventually it will go away. Never actually tried it though.

I don't know if it's the iron or potassium in the banana skin or maybe the pectin (a water-absorbing nutrient) that does the trick. But it's been proven to work for some people. Cut a piece of banana skin slightly larger than the wart. Use tape to hold the white, fleshy side next to the wart. Leave it on overnight. Use a new slice of banana skin daily for a couple of weeks. If you don't care to wear banana skins, try duck tape--worked for my daughter.

warts are usually caused by a virus called HUMAN PAPILOMA VIRUS
these have to be most of the time surgically removed
how effective are banana peels is a question
how many patients have been treated with banana peels and what is the success rate remains to be studied...
health issues i would suggest that it is better to go for treatments that have been already preformed with high success rates
