Does gential warts mean you are hiv+?!

Question: No.

I am concerned that you even have to ask this question because it tells me that you do not know how to prevent getting HIV or any sexually transmitted disease for that matter.

You need to consult with your doctor and get the warts looked at and while you are there, get the latest on STD's and prevention.

In the meantime, use a condom if you are a guy, gay or straight. If you are a woman, make sure guys use condoms before you engage in intercourse. If you are lesbian, you still need to excercise care. Know your partner's sexual history because skin on skin contact of the intimate type can still transmit diseases.

Lord No. Genital Warts is the HPV virus. There are hundreds of HPV viruses.

HIV....totally different

Hi! Genital warts can be caused by a virus Human Papilloma Virus. It is transmitted by sexual route. Having genital warts does not neessarily mean that one is HIV+. But, it is common in HIV patients due to lack of immunity and resistance. So, why dont u get your blood tested for HIV to be on the safer margin? Its not that taboo now. U get easily get your blood tested for HIV without any hesitation. Taking precautions

No. Health buff if right. HIV and HPV are different. HPV is spread through skin-to-skin contact, but HIV is contracted through an exchange of bodily fluid with an individual who is HIV +. Always use protection, educate yourself about STD/STI and go for regular screenings, as there are several infections and viruses which are asymptomatic. Take good care of yourself. :)
