I think my boyfriend is albino... help?!
Question: Ok, he was born in a normal brown headed and red headed family, but every hair on his entire body is bleach blonde, BUT he has blue eyes and he can tan if he tried but mostly gets burned easily.. .are there certain levels of albinism? like mild albinism or extreme albinism?

I was under the impression that albino referred to a complete lack of pigmentation in the body. If he can tan, and just burns easily, he's fair skinned. The fair skin comes from the red-headed side of the family for sure, it tends to be a natural combination.
Blonde hair and blue eyes are what they called "recessive" traits. That means that even though his parents may not appear blonde, they do carry that trait in their genetic makeup. It's just that they also carry the "dominant" trait of the brown hair which will override the recessive blonde every time. They would be "hybrid brown."
However, your boyfriend has inherited the recessive traits from his family. The probability of him being blonde and fair skinned was originally significantly lower than the probability of him being darker haired, but it happens and it's perfectly normal and easily explained.
I don't know if you're familiar with punnet squares. I know that I did them a lot in all of my biology classes starting in or around the 7th grade, and they do a good deal for explaining the situation if you can throw one together and understand it... but that's just added experimentation and not really all that necessary ;)

No there aren't. He was just born with less pigmentation than most people. Albino's have none.

Albinos have red eyes, super pale skin, and white hair. They need sun glasses or umbrellas when out in the sun.
What difference does it make. Is he a nice guy or what? Your probably worried that your babies will be extremely albino.

he might, have a certain kind...some (which is very rare) have all the albino characteristics. no pigmentation so they have red eyes, white or see through hair, very white skin, and some trouble seeing. alot of times, they only have some characteristics of albinism, so they can still have blue eyes, or other non albino things.
Why not just ask him? You guys should be able to talk about that kind of thing...
But yes there are diff levels. If he can tan I doubt he is albino, too much contact with the sun is dangerous for albinos
if he burns in the sun....he should put on suntan lotion.
