Question about HIV?!

Question: On Dec. 17, 2007, I was diagnosed HIV (positive); that's when I started to become "emo" like. It's been an entire year since I had sex, so I've been carrying the virus over a year without treatment.

I got tested cause, I've been seeing signs over 3 months; like condom ads, STD talk in school, stuff like that. I knew god was trying to get my attention.

Started to attend church after 2 years my parents beging me to attend. (Only 17 years old)

Anyways, I was enrolled in University of San Diego, Medical Center - HIV program

Do you think that's the best medical intuite for gettng help?
Also, with and without medication how much do I have? No to sound pesstimistic

The anti-infectives that are out right now are incredibly effective in controlling the replication of the virus. They are not a cure, as you probably know, but millions of people live for quite a long time with HIV. If you are still in stage one or two, the chances of you living a long healthy life is greater. I'm not exactly sure of an exact time frame, but people are living for decades with the disease and have very few symptoms. Hopefully you will be able to physically tolerate the anti-infective therapy and that it can bring your viral load down and t-cells back up. I don't want to tell you to cheer up because that's ridiculous... you've just been diagnosed with an incurable disease. I will say this though.... try to stay positive. It has been scientifically proven that people who view the outcome of their disease (whether it be cancer or AIDS, whatever) in a positive manner have much greater survival rates than those who don't. Spirituality plays a huge part in staying positive, so keep on going to church if you find it to be a positive experience.

religion.go if you think it will make you feel better..............
have to take the meds...........
you should live 30-60 years.......if you take the meds and keep a healthy lifestyle................
good luck
