Acne/Pimples on the face, chest and back?!?!

Question: I am an active professional dancer and I have really bad acne. I can deal with my face having it but I have it all over my back, chest, and even the tops of my arms. I am starting to get blackheads on my chest as well..

I am wondering about washes or anything else I can do to get rid of or prevent this... I do take showers right when I get home from performances/practices but that doesn't seem to be enough.

Okay,I know this product has gotten a bad rep because Jessica Simpson's retarded blonde self is representing it, but as someone who suffered from two adolecent summers of full blown acne,I'm telling you,it works. It's called Pro Active. You used to only be able to buy it over the phone from the late night t.v. ads,but I'm pretty sure that since then it's moved to stores.I also believe that they have come out with a body wash for pimples, clogged pores, and blackheads on the rest of your bod, too. I personally have never found a product that completly got rid of blackheads.Pro Active made a noticeable diffrence, though.I have also noticed that if you follow your skin cleansing rituals evey night when you shower, no skipping!, it really helps.Another product you might try is Neutragena-they have really good and effective stuff for face and body.A cheap and natural easy step to take evey night is to rub a cup of sugar-fine grained-over your damp face and body until it has dissolved. Then wash thouroughly.(This will also leave you tasting sweet for you current boyfriend/girlfriend...) The sugar acts as a natural exfoliant, won't dry your skin out,or irritate you.It is gentle enough to be used every day, and really gets the dirt and sweat out of your pores. I hope you take this information and make the best of it. I only know it has worked for me.

Also,as a proffesional dancer, if you have a problem with stinky feet, soak them in hot tea every night for two weeks. Tea has all sorts of good nutrients and antioxedents. It works.

see a dermatologist.

Murad has really good products for both acne on the face and body.

Good luck!

i have heard ProActive works very well..but you have to follow the directions EXACTLY!!! my sister also has bad acne..and my grandma tells her to go tanning for SHORT times!! dont turn orange!!

clinque or proactive worked for me and dont pick at your skin it will only make it worse and maybe bruise your skin.

c a dermatologist

p.s. hope it gets betterr!!

try and keep sweat of your face and if you have long haird keep off your face also your hair produces natural greases that make your skin oily. For your chest and back use and non ittrating soap and wsh it well. istead of rubbing the areas with acne after you cleaned them when you get out the shower or wash them. dap the towel wash cloth etc... onto the area so it doesnt make the nurtients in your face dry

This could be your diet. Do you eat well and drink a lot of water? If not, this is definitely a contributing factor. Any eating disorders would cause this. If not, it could be stress, hormones. I would try to solve internal problems before finding a face wash. If you are very healthy then try face washes - Proactiv works.

this is weird but i love a boy with a Little acne but anyway ask your Dr. about differin gel it work so well.

Ok, I had the same problem on my back.

I went to singapore for 3weeks and it got sunburnt really bad.
The sun seemed to clear up all the acne.

Drink WATER and nothing else, Try it for a week or so, you will notice a different.

If all else fails ask the dr to put you on acne pills.
They are free on the nhs but they take awhile to work, Oh and Ive forgotten the name of them.

Honestly, proactive is the best product. You will see result in within like 2 wks, and it stays clear. Also, another tid bit for you is change your pillow case every 2-3 days, that way your affected areas are not being contaminated with body sweat, and other particles on your pillow. It really does help. Go to proactive's web site to buy it..

it happens too every one at some point its hapining to me wright now i can suggest go to walmart or sumthin and het acne facial wash and put it on ur chest face and back it works or a peel of face mask will work on it all too

if u eat alot of chocolate or any candy it makes it worse

Yes a Dermatologist is the best bet. They can prescribe something. However, acne is due to hormones and generally isn't curable. That said, learn to live in your own skin :)

there was this one product on the market that i used to use. u could buy it on the shelf. it was called nature' cure. u took an all natural pill in the morning and at night and used this cream to on your face. worked wonders for me. i saw results after a week. they also have it for the body too. again, i have no idea if its still sold

There many options to try among the first should be increasing the amount of times a day you cleanse the affected area. Anything that will open up your pores such as saunas could help. Theres topical antibiotics that help prevent the growth of bacteria thus decreasing pimples. In sever cases theres acutane which is highly effective in severe cases but a dangerous solution for some side effects. Discuss concerns with a licensed medical professional

i use "neutrogena on-the-spot" as my dermatologist suggested. it's a pretty small bottle, but a little goes a long way. just a tiny dime sized dot on your finger will cover your whole face, or more. it's pretty cheep too and it works! good luck!

Buy a body wash with tea tree oil. The Body Shop carries a good one. Tea tree oil is gentle and should clear it right up.

ok one thing I know are clearasil pads for acne, take rapid showers and see a doctor, they will hook you up with someone proboly, google the problem. get a face sponge from bath and body works, scrub skin smoothley not hard it could cuase iritation.

change bedding every other day wash pillows change sleeping cloths every day. change body soaps.
go to doctor get pills for your infection

get proactive!!!! It is truly amazing!!! i noticed a difference within maybe a day or two!!
