How do you know if you have stomach ulcer?!
Question: My doctor said that i have acid in my stomach that should not be there, and said that i should not eat....... spicy food, fried food,
acid like food, tomatoes, garlic like foods and chocolate and stuff like that and I'm thinking that i may have stomach ulcer. How do i know if i do?

usually the ulcer symptoms are sharp and strong in pain and floating dyspepsia and reflux but severe pain is most noticed by the patient and usually starts in grade you now do not have peptic ulcer you have just hyper acidity that cause gastritis or just inflammation of gastric mucosa if left untreated the mucosa well tear or worn out causing ulceration and bleeding may occur treatment depend if mild to moderate antacid like in OTC is used or ranitine containing drug moderate to sever doc usually prescribe PPI or proton pump inhibitor that usually suppress the acid secretion completely the case is is aggravated if there is H.pylori infection in stomach http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peptic_ulce...
