Exercise for people with Parkinsons Diesese?!
Question: Hello, I am fourteen years old, and my uncle has parkinson's disease and was diagnosed about 3 years ago. He seems to just get worse, even with medication. He was in the Vietnam Wra, so goes to the Veteran Hospital. I heard physical excersie can hep some, with movement, can you give me some websites to go to, or some explanation of what exercises I can do with him, that might be useful in some way. They say he will get worse, but I do not want to give up hope, I want to help him in every way possible. Please give me some exercises, I can help him with, where he can not give up strength in his muscles, he is about 70 years old. Thank You.

have your uncle ask his doctor for specific information -have him take you to the appointment. write down your questions and have them answered. you are a wise kid and it will help you to understand his disease. you can ask the doctor about physical therapy -your uncle can get a prescription for it. the therapist can train you to help provide the care.
