Chest pain?!

Question: OK, about 4 years ago I broke some ribs and my lung collapsed (needed to be drained). As a result, I get pains every now and then. Doctors have told me it is similar to
plurasy, and is caused by the scar tissues around my injuries. I have been running lately and the pains have been getting more frequent, from once a month or so to every few days. In my opinion, this would be because my lungs are maybe getting bigger from running???
Anyway does anyone have any ideas of how to reduce the pains?? thanks

Mmmmm... You're sort of stuck with the pain, sorry. Ever put a band aide on a part of your body that you use a lot? Remember how the skin stretches and the band aide makes it all itchy and pulls on it? Imagine the scar tissue is like that inside your lungs. The running is tugging on the scar tissue.

The only thing to do, really, is to keep at it. Eventually, it will stretch out... but be careful! Don't push yourself too hard. It can cause a tear.

that is serious go to the doc

Well of course your lungs are in the process of healing so give it some time to heal and the more active you are the slower its healing time is becoming.

So yeah just relax since you just injured yourself and give it sometime to heal because your stressing it right now
