ask your doc for the generic version. its called (ready for this?) chlordiazepoxide hydrochloride and clidinum bromide capsules. good luck pronouncing that one. haha its a deep muscle relaxer and regulator with a slight anxiety reliever. non-narcotic....but it totally helps me... and its relatively cheap also. also i recommend that if you have diarhea to not take anything like immodium to stop you up. diarhea happens for a reason and is the beest way to detox your system back into regularity....god bless you.... this disorder SUCKS!!!! but it can be controlled....
I have been living with IBD for over 27 years and have had 7 surgeries. The answer to your question is no there is no cure for IBS. The good news is there is a way for you to get and keep control of IBS and IBD. It is not easy and takes much more then just one thing to help you out. Good Luck.
