Would you have sex with some one that has HEP C?!

Question: SURE! I mean, everyone knows it's only contagious through blood!!! If one practices normal sexual experiences, the chances of getting HCV are null!

HCV corpuscles found in semen, vaginal fluid, saliva, tears, mucus and breast milk are NOT contagious!

How is that possible?

Well, simple! HCV is a blood borne virus! HCV is only infectious through blood!

Folks, if you don't know what your talking about, dont answer!
Whats funny is most of us have at one time slept with someone with HCV or lived with someone with HCV.

Furthermore, everyone has one risk factor for HCV!

If anyone feels conjecture towards any of my answers, feel free to let me set you straight!

I am a 40 year old woman, have had HCV longer than I even knew what sex was and have NEVER infected anyone via sexual intercourse! I have a husband and two teenage sons who are not affected either.

There are MILLIONS of couples in the United States alone who have unprotected sexaul intercourse with their spouse and only ONE person has HCV!

The ONLY way one can acquire HCV infection through sex (or any other way) is through blood to blood cross contamination!!!

I.E., Person has an open wound down there and the infected partner is bleeding. His blood would HAVE TO ENTER YOUR BLOODSTREAM in order for HCV TO TAKE PLACE.

It's rather hard to acquire HCV but it does happen.

There are much more easier ways to contract HCV and they are
Being born to an infected mother (risk about .06%)
IV drug user, cocaine snorter, crack pipe smoker ect. (100%)
Recipient of blood (100%)
Tattoos, dental work, surgery, getting nails done (about 40%- higher if it occured before 1995)
Sharing a toothbrush or razor with someone is commonly referred to as household exposure the risk is not quite about the same as tattoos ect.

No. Condoms fail, so there is no guarantee of protection against the virus.

pam anderson has it would you do her?

Nope. It's possible to transfer it sexually, and it's a very serious disease.

no

No.

Very dangerous, talk to your doctor.

no, be thankful the person told you, and is honest.

nope

Nope, Nada, never..., if you were to get it from him you'll have it for life and it gets progressively worse as you get older.

Of course not, it is an infectious disease so the person that would have sex with someone with HEP C would also be infected

you can have hep c for many years and not know, and lots and lots of people have it,so if you have unprotected sex you probably already have slept with someone with it.I'm not sure though how contagious it is, ask a Doc.

Just so everyone knows, Hep C is NOT an STD. It is a blood born virus and is ONLY spread from blood to blood contact. The only way to contract Hep C through sex is if blood is involved.

Hep C is not a sexually transmitted disease!!! It is transmitted by blood to blood contact only.
The rate of sexual transmission is less than 5% in stable monogamous couples:

Hope this helps to give you the correct information.

it is very difficult to transmit this via sex as it is a blood borne disease.

pam anderson never seems to have trouble finding partners.

look above me for the best answer! (cindy) (spring rose) (stephanie)

My dear man don't be stupid, O.K. There's enough of those people out there. Don't join that club. Stupidity can kill you.

Are you two the only two singles in town? Go find someone else and leave this one alone until they get a clean bill of health. Use the Internet to find out the causes of HEP C and make an intelligent choice. O.K. Good luck.

No

Yes. Hep C is very very difficult to catch unless you are exchanging blood with your partner. Use a condom if you are worried.

Pam Anderson more than likely got it from getting a tattoo with her husband at the time Tommy Lee.

Why does everyone assume she got it from having sex?

There is a lot of ignorance out there about Hepatitis C. Please educate yourself before you ask questions like this.

I was in a relationship with my wife for seven years, she never got it from me. There are at least 1 million people in the US alone that have it and don't know it.

If you got a tattoo before 1992 there is a 35% chance you have hepatitis C. If you got a tattoo after 1992 there is a 15% chance you have hepatitis C. Not all parlors do a great job of cleaning their equipment (they must autoclave it, not wipe it with alcohol), some reuse the ink to save money (not legal, but you'd never know it).

So maybe you should change your question to...Would you have sex with someone who had a tattoo?

I did the treatment and no longer have it. So it's really not that big of a deal as others make it out to be.

ummm how would you know they have Hep C if they dont tell you??????

While they are sick? No. After they got cured? You probably already have and you do not even know it.

if i really loved and cared about the person, then yes i would, but there would be alot of protection involved.

Definitely NOT. Hep C is very serious and can even kill you. It will make you very ill for a very long time. I wouldn't risk it. Condoms fail frequently--think about all the accidental pregnancies while using a condom. Too dangerous.
