1.) You CAN get an std from oral sex. However, to get one, the person you were giving oral sex to/ receiving sex from has to have an STD. So in this case, your boyfriend would have to have an STD.

2.) Which brings us to: even though he's your boyfriend, he could have an std if he got oral sex from or gave oral sex to somebody that has an std.

3.) If you think there is any chance of an STD, as in, he got/gave unprotected oral sex with a partner that he is not sure has an STD or not, I would see a doctor just to be in the safe side.

4.) That said, chances are also good you just have a cold. I mean, does it feel like a cold? If your throat is bothering you, you might have an infection like strep throat. If its still bothering you after a week, or you are in a lot of pain, or you are running a high fever, see a doctor.

If he's a virgin, how could he have an STD?

its just a cold or unless you slept with many ppl and then he slept with you....who knows, go to the doc

haha ur sick, its winter lol
but thanks fur the info, we needed to know that
just playin

lmfao

you shouldnt have sex then smart one

if he has not been with anyone else and u are sure that he hasnt contracted an STD then you are probably just sick.

I'd say it's infected b/c you're sick...I don't think it's from a BJ.

I think you're just sick but you shouldn't be giving bj's if he's not wearing a condom.

I would go to an ENT specialist and find out. It is not good but may not be an STD but only a doctor would know after taking a swab or culture of your throat.

antibiotics.......

yesss u can get std w/ a *******..but in case u should go check it out..it also can be a sore throat...

are u sure he's a virgin? and it could be like genetic oral clamitia or something, its treatable if it is

Most likely you just have a cold and sore throat. If it lasts more than 7 days, go see a doctor.

ok first of all you just nasty!!! how do you know this guy never had sex , he could have told you anything to get a blow from you!!! you may have or could get all kinds of infections from doing that. next time dont do it!!

Sugar if you have to ask this question then you are too young to engage in ANY kind of sexual activity.

Save it for when you get married.

Yes, you can get STD's from virgins. if anyone with a fever blister gave him a b-j then he could get herpes, and that is the same for girls. You probably just have a cold. You definantly need to read up on STD prevention and facts!

Even if your boyfriend really is a virgin, if he received oral sex from someone else who had oral herpes, he could have contracted it and passed it to you. or you might just coincidentally just have a cold virus or strep.

Stop giving bj's use your hand.
And yes you could have an STD from his semen.
But that is only if the STD was passed down through genetics from his parents, also if you think you have an infection you need to head to the doctor and get some antibiotics.

You probably have tonsillitis or strep throat. I've never heard of a STD that does that. Go to the doctor.

Your probably just sick, and you should stop sucking D@*!k its bad for your health. Especially if you swallow, read up on it!

It sounds like you have strep. It is that time of the season, but you really shouldn't be doing oral sex if you are not sure he does not have anything. A friend of mine has herpes from giving oral sex and let me tell ya it is not fun when she has a breakout. You need to be careful STD's are real and boyfriends will come and go make sure you know the person before you go do anything like that

Many good questions arise from this question. First, I would explore the options of his claims. Is he really a virgin? Can you even prove to someone that you are a virgin? Walls don't talk honey. Secondly, you may have a cold. The first signs of HIV+ individuals is not a runny nose and caugh, but a copper taste in their mouth, dry mouth, congestion, etc. If your tonsils were infected, you would not be caughing much, at least from my near death experience. Are you running a fever? Each and every case of STD's in reference to the throat show that odds are you do not have an STD, but always practice safe sex. I escaped being HIV+, and have learned my lesson from my ex partner! WRAP IT BEFORE YOU TAP IT! Odds of getting an STD other than Herpes orally is rare, especially for Human Immunodefiency Virus, but does happen, so, if you are comfortable with the taste of latex, go at it girl!~

Honey only because i have been there and done that. Never trust what a man says EVER!!!!!! You can get an STD or something else. Seriously think where his you know what has been. Gross yeah, if he doesn't have good hygiene then yeah you could get an infection. Sometimes men get yeast infections and stuff like that. From sweat and stuff like that. Or if he didn't clean himself when he went number 2. I know its gross I just wanted to be objective and honest.

I don't mean to sound bitter but protect yourself always. I would go to the doctors and say you might have strep throat. I hope you don't think I was being rude like I said I try to be objective and honest, and give all the possibilities . That is why I like yahoo answers, it might be basis but you can speak what you feel.

Good luck and use protection, your mouth will thank you!!! :)

I think this could be simply down to thrush, a yeast infection. Thrush can be both genital and oral, if as you say your man was a virgin, but you have had intercourse with him, I think it is highly possible you have vaginal thrush and you have passed it on to him, and if he has genital thrush and you have gave him oral sex, you may have got oral thrush from him, thrush is not life threatening and is easily treated, both of you go to the doc together, the runny nose and cough is probably just that you have a cold at the same time..............

maybe you have strep throat.

You are just sick with a cold hun. You might even have strep throat if your throat is red and lump so watch for that. (I always get strep so... :) )
STD/STI symptoms do not happen right after the sexual act and also rarely happen 24 hours after the sexual act. They occur about a week later or more, depending on the std/sti. Chlamydia of the throat is rare, yet Gonorrhea of the throat is more common. And no, you cannot get these through kissing, you would have to be licking his tonsils to get it through kissing.
Also, if he is a virgin and NEVER has sexual relations with another person then no, he doesn't have an std/sti. I would chalk it up to you having a bad cold. Now if your sore throat doesn't get better in about 10 days, then you should get to your doctor.

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are passed from person to person during sexual activity. STDs such as chlamydia and gonorrhea are caused by bacteria. Single-celled organisms called parasites cause trichomoniasis. Genital herpes and human papillomavirus (HPV) are caused by viruses. The HIV virus, responsible for causing AIDs, is one of the deadliest STDs.
