A Question about catching an STD (anxious)?!

Question: I only did 6 times protected sex. But they are with 6 different girls. my condoms broke 2 times. My body is itching all over, so i went to see a doctor. The result was out today and show its STD negative. My last sex was 3 days ago. When should i have another health check again? and am i likely to catch and STD ? Please share with me as much information as you can thank you very much

Merry Christmas and happy new year

Merry Christmas and happy new year

You did practice safe sex by using protection; that's good. Yet, you still could catch something even with using a condom; things like HPV or HSV-1/HSV-2, those need skin to skin contact so a condom cannot protect you 100%.
I think you should retest again within a week to two weeks. You need time for std's/sti's to incubate in your system so you can have a conclusive test.
HIV and Syphilis are usually done by blood tests; HIV should be tested at the 3 month/6 moth mark of your last possible risk exposure, so 87 days is 3 months from now.

Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, depending on what test they do, you could have a conclusive answer 48 hours after possible risk exposure. (Urine/swab testing - with NAAT testing like PCR or such).

HPV you cannot be tested for unless you have a strain that gives you outbreaks of gential warts.
And you could have a blood test for HSV-1/HSV-2 but:
1) at the 4 month mark your test will be conclusive and
2) You will probably test positive for HSV-1 (cold sores) if you have had any type of cold sores in your life. It's common and about 80% people are infected.
Most doctor's don't like to do blood tests for HSV-1/HSV-2, they prefer to see physical sores and test that way.

You are not 100% always going to get an std/sti from your exposures. It's like your friend has a cold and you go to visit once, you may not get it - but if you continually keep going there, chances are you will catch something.

Good Luck

well at least you used condoms but since some of the condoms broke then there would be a chance of getting an std. you should also be aware that not all stds are included in the std tests. u should ask the doctor what is included and ask for any addtitional tests to be done if your worried about catching something thats not included with the test. u should get another test done in about a week of your last sexual encounter or if u experience any signs of symptoms of stds (u may want to look some up to see what their symptoms are).
good luck and hope everything is in the clear.

Yea right

It could be scabies.

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are passed from person to person during sexual activity. STDs such as chlamydia and gonorrhea are caused by bacteria. Single-celled organisms called parasites cause trichomoniasis. Genital herpes and human papillomavirus (HPV) are caused by viruses. The HIV virus, responsible for causing AIDs, is one of the deadliest STDs.
