Can a person by himself use mental will to lower the impact of OCD?!

Question: It would take a lot of will power! Why not take the advantage of natural med such as Valerian root for the anxiety, if you can get a handle on the anxiety maybe the Obsessive thoughts will leave. Also what would be so wrong to see a Therapist and still use meditation?

Yes, I do this myself, though it takes constant awareness and concentration and this maybe even more distracting than the behavior itself.

The person can try, but it will be a hard road to follow. Will power alone probably will not work completely, but may reduce the amount of "traditions" the person allows in their life. I think there's medications that can help with OCD...not sure though. I'm not a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night :)

Strong will power has the capacity to cure a person of any ailments, the impact of this disorder too can be lowered with strong will power, by makin the body do wat the mind actually wants it to do!

You really can do anything you set your mind to. The trick lies in not feeling like a failure if you slip up every so often and seeking help when you know you need it.
