If it is a bug then you may well get it BUT there are ways of trying to prevent getting it. The main thing being good hygiene! Ensure that the toilet is clean and that you do not touch any contaminated bed linen or washing.

our family went down one by one - usually about 4 days after someone else
if it's contagious then stay away from her! my mate caught the vomit-and-squits one that's doing the rounds.... she spent xmas day crouched over the toilet bowl! the only way to avoid getting it is to stay away from people who have it and hope for the best. you may be seeing the new year in from the bathroom though, so be prepared!
