Call a local pharmacy about the medicine. As for the eating, the Dr. should have put in the instructions that she shouldn't eat, and if he didn't I would suggest eating a small meal if she feels she needs to at all. If she doesn't need to eat, then if she could hold off then it's better safe than sorry. As for taking her meds, I am not sure and can't tell you, but I would just look up a local 24 hour pharmacy and ask a pharmacist or call the hospital ER and ask them. If they are normal every day meds I wouldn't understand why she shouldn't take them unless the Dr. instructed this, but it's always safest to call.

I don't know about the meds but before my test they told me to eat a light breakfast. I think I had toast and butter w/ OJ.

Tell her good luck.

I'm a diabetic and just had a stress test for my heart. I was told to do everything as I normally do everyday. I took all my meds insulin, metformin, coreg, vytorin, lexapro. I also had breakfast and lunch that day.

My mom said that it's not the best thing to do because something with walking?
