Can you get a virus or infection by kissing with somebody?!

Question: Saliva is inhabited by bacteria. Human bite wounds have a high risk of infection unless treated with antibiotics. You have to have an open sore/wound in your mouth in order to aquire an illness generally. HIV can pass through membrene walls in your throat (The Upper Respiratory Tract) but can only live for a very short time span outside of the originally infected body and only when it is in blood from the sore/wound presenting. In some cases, thats usually enough time to find an immune cell to infect and spread. Saliva also has mucus in it which is composed of antiseptic enzymes and immunoglobulins. Immunoglobulins are used by the Immune system to identify and neutralize foreign objects, such as bacteria and viruses. Though its not 100% full proof, it is like 80% full proof.

To answer your question, yes, you can. Other STDS can be transported by kissing because they can live on the skin and in the gums.
