i had them at 13 and my mum had them at 21 so it is all different

no an adult can get chicken pox if they are older and never had them. it will usually turn into shingles which is worse. if you haven't had the chicken pox go get the vaccine. it will seriously reduce your odds.

No, you can get them anytime. Getting them as an adult can have some complications though. I had them when I was 16 and was sick for 2 weeks. My daughter got them when she was 5 and was sick for 1 week.
Most people do catch Chickenpox when they are young, and its not very serious, however if you somehow don't get it as a child it can be serious if caught when you are an adult so you should go and get a vacination.

Nope, my husband just got over chicken-pox and he's 60!. It was really gruesome and he had 31 large spots because we counted them! Us old people have to find fun in something!
He caught it off our daughter-in-law who had Shingles whilst he was mending their guttering [as you do] and then hugged everyone in the house Goodbye. It's been a great Christmas xxx
When you get chicken pox as an adult it usually turns into shingles. You have to be wary if your around any one with it. I've had it twice. So has my son. So the only ever get it once theory is tosh. I worked in a hospital and a guy in his 30's had it. It went into his lungs and was extremely ill. But the doc's sorted him out thankfully.
I used to think that you could only get it once - but I have come-out in the rash each time my children had Chicken pox and when some of my pupils had it.
