Yes, something in duct tape really does work against warts. I was taught though that you had to keep it wrapped and check it every few days.

An herbal remedy is to crush a chunk of garlic and cover the wart with it, then bandage it on. (Maybe with duct tape for a double whammy?!) Change the garlic daily.

Garlic is an antiviral so it acts directly at the site due to the many sulfur compounds it contains. I believe if you also eat it during this treatment, then you will be boosting your system to fight the virus from within also.

There are many preparations at the pharmacy to choose from, and now they have "do it yourself" freeze off products, so maybe you can do it better and not bother with a doctor.

i had one and they froze it.................it hurt like a b.i.t.c.h but it was worth it cuz that wart was the most annoying thing on earth.

Wart On.. They have it.. if not chew it off! Yum Yum

use a nailclipper! joking...there's some sort of wart removal cream...ask at the pharmacy

Amputate your thumb.

rub it with silver and bury the silver on a full moon, or apply holy water to it.

you have to go to a doctor its likely to be impossible to get r rid of unless u get an xray plz give me a thumbs up

You need a witch.

i think you can get Doc Scholl's at wallmart

Put nailpolish on it (shiny works best, for some reason)....or wrap it in duct tape for a couple of days.

My husband gets warts on his fingers, that's what he does. Works very well for him.

Go to the pharmacy and ask for something over the counter. They are caused by a virus so it may keep coming back. If you want a home remedy... I have heard the best thing is to get a roll of duct tape... seriously, this is not a joke. Cut a small circle out and keep it constantly covered... change it daily and that it will come off within several days....

This site tells you how to use duct tape to remove a wart. It takes a little time, but is as effective as salicylic acid and probably less painful- and it appears to be written by a Dr.

Or you could take a page out of Tom Sawyer and use stump water in the graveyard at midnight. Personally- I would use duct tape.

Silver Nitrate Stick

You can get from a Pharmacy, Drug Store

All you have to do is apply it once (its like a pen you just color in the wart with it) except that its clear so you can't see anything. About a week or so later the wart is gone - its awesome stuff.

I had a huge wart on my knee and one my hand and my friends mom used the silver nitrate stick on them and they both just disappeared - with no pain and "no scarring".

I had a couple frozen off before that and wish i'd known about the stick because freezing can be painful.

Warts are a viral infection, so you can't really ever get rid of them. They are caused by the human papillomavirus and can be contagious through physical contact. Some home remedies are wrapping them in a banana peel, soaking it in vinegar, duct tape, applying bruised garlic, applying unskinned potatoes, or tomato juice.

Put duct tape on it. My friend did that and it worked.
Just make sure no air gets to it, so it "dies".
or get some kind of medication for it.
Duct tapes cheaper!

Oh wow, your question brought back a lot of childhood memories for me. When I was younger, I had a wart on my right ring finger abover the 2nd bend in the joints and I would use the wart to support my pencil whenever I wrote because it was that huge! Well, one day I got a paper cut on my finger and the band-aid covered up my wart since it was too big of a band-aid. A couple days later, my wart was really soft. So I figured I'd change the band-aid every day or everytime it got wet and leave it on for a long time. I would also push on the band-aid and thus, down on my wart thinking it would push the wart into my body and my body would dissolve it..but this only hurt and I don't know if it worked or not but I'd try it! So try this, put a band-aid on your wart..no need for any ointments just a plain ol' band-aid and leave it on for a really really long time. I think I left mine on for a week. Well, the skin around your wart will get really soft and mushy as will the wart. The wart should shrink in size so that you can just pick it off. I tried this when I was really young and my wart has never come back. Good luck with removing your wart! Hopefully this remedy works for you :D

You can try using duct tape over the wart. It sounds weird, yes, but has been proven effective. Put on duct tape and leave it on for 3 days, then change it. After several days, it will trigger an immune reaction that will help the body kill the wart. Another option is Salicylic Acid solution, a white liquid you put over the wart. i recommend discussing all the options available with your Primary Care Doctor.
