OMG!!! Cough! Cough! Help!!!!!?!
Question: My sister is caughing ALOT!!! She sounds like she is barking! She has been doing this for 2 weeks! Cough med.s dont work, inhalers dont work!!!! We are going to kill her it is so annoying! Any suggestions??? Help PLEASE!!!

How old is your sister? A barking cough that is not calmed by medication or inhalers sounds a lot like croup. She needs to be seen by a doctor. There are cough medications that contain codeine that are stronger than over the counter brands and in addition there may be other medication that the physician may prescribe to help with the irritation that is causing the cough in the first place. I'll even bet that she is having trouble eating and drinking because of the cough and is probably getting dehydrated. The doctor can help with that as well. I don't think that you should wait until morning. Take her to the ER tonight to be seen. Good luck.

Time to send her to the doc. The over the counter stuff is not strong enough to break the cough cycle or worse she may have a real infection that needs meds.
I know it sounds silly, but try rubbing Vicks Rub on her feet. My mother drove us crazy with the coughing until someone told her about this. Now, before bed she does this and no more cough. Hey, Its worth a try!!
