What is this god awful virus that everyone's coming down with?!

We have had it for 3 weeks now and are still coughing Doctor says it can take up to 6 weeks to get over this nasty one as you think its away but returns with vengeance
I know a few people in bed with it. It seems awful.
Same here - taken me over a week to get over it and hubby is struck down now!

ive got it :( been in bed all week with a hot water bottle :( its awful :( no idea what it is though :( hope it goes away soon.

practice better hand washing. treat the symptoms, rest, drink fluids and you should be better in 3-21 days.
it is a bad one! seems you just get over it and it hits again, rest,drink lots of fluids.....open some windows if you can and get some fresh air into the house,super clean surfaces and be washing your hands

The exhaustion is the worst part - at one point even reaching for the remote control was leaving me short of breath!
Absolutely awful.
I know it is simple, but lemsips actually eased the other symptoms for me.

Do you mean this awful Flu type virus or this awful D & V virus that is also going around? Everyone has either had it or has it at the mo.
What are the symptoms? Me, ive been sick with the flu and head cold for the past week and a half.

Same here we all had it over Christmas even my little boy if it's like sore throats snotty noses etc I really recommend sudofed (i think that's how its spelt!) good luck!! xx
its horrible some of my family had it others did not and even though it seems to go away you still feel like crap
What it be the flu ? There are many viruses of it, just like there is a cold. I had the flu once & didn't know it untill it caused me to have seziures (epilepsy). Woke up in the hospital one morning. To make matters worse, it was on Christmas Day one year.
I currently have it .
I puke, I cough endlessly, and my head spins when I blow my nose.
More details anyone? Should I describe the yellow stuff coming out of my throat as a result of my coughing?
Is it a trojan or worms....
