Anyone here have herpes?!

Question: What are the symptoms???

Answers: What are the symptoms???

well i have some personal experience for u.
my first outbreak was the worst. i was diagnosed with a swab test taken from the blisters/sores. (thats how most people are diagnoses. its harder to determine for some reason via blood test).
this is how the first outbreak went for me.
1. slight fever and achy muscles (flue like symptoms without throwing up)
2. swollen genital glands (outer labia for women)
3. tingleing/burning sensation started down there.
4. itching and blisters started to form (the second outbreak i had open sores called lesions)
5. itching and pain as well as blisters or sores on the vagina.
i was itching and in so much pain that i couldn't sleep
they went away after about 7 days without medication and with medication they went away within 3-5. outbreaks are different for eveybody with herpes and it can depend on a persons immune system. if they keep healthy or take medication they will have fewer outbreaks. i have days when i feel dirty or ashamed that i have herpes but i try to get over it because i won't let it ruin my life. u also have a choice who to tell and i have only told people i can trust to keep it to them selves in case of an outbreak. if are worried about having or getting herpes, or if u experience any symptoms of an outbreak i would suggest getting tested.

yes i have both hsv 1 and 2.

i first thought i was having an extended thrush episode. it was extreemly itchy and sore.

symptoms can be burning, tingling, itching. you may be able to feel little bumps which are the sores.

the first symptom i notice is that my vagina starts getting itchy and tingles where the lesions will form. after that it is just a matter of time before they become open blister like sores that are usually concentrated on my inner labia. walking and sex tend to be painful endeavours once the sores are there, but i have found that a little bit of Orajel tooth desensatizer works wonders if i put in on my bumps. i also take Valtrex when i get an outbreak. it doesn't cure the outbreak, but it decreases the time it takes for them to go away. hope this helped....

I have it and it is exactly the same as when you get a cold sore on your mouth. However some cases are worse than others. I've seen pics of some really nasty cases. The ones I get are hardly noticable and usually last about 3 to 4 days, then they dry up and scab over. It's also important to know they don't leave scars. There is also usually an itchy/tingling feeling around the infected area just before and during the outbreak.
