Well, if you are a virgin then it is highly improbable that you have an STD, unless your penis came in contact with vaginal fluid or someone else's semen outside of intercourse.

If this "boil" is a bump that appears at the base of your penis, then it might be a hair follicle or an ingrown hair. These are very common in both men and women. These can occur on your testicles as well, so since you said "sometimes on my penis," this is probably your best bet.

Many young men also experience papules or Fordyce spots on the penis, which are harmless but can't really be treated.

I don't think you should be worried unless the sore is pink, brown, foul smelling, or excreting some sort of fluid. If this is the case, see a doctor. Otherwise, the boil is probably harmless and will go away with time.

Since you are not sexually active..I will rule out what I was first going to say..an std.

No pimples aren't contagious like herpes is...they have to do with a certain pore being clogged.

It's unusual for this to occur on your penis though. Boils usually appear on arms/legs/armpits etc.

This is most certainly due to stress. My husband gets a certain one a lot when he it gets stressed. It is reoccurring in a certain area. I never appears anywhere else.

Are you usually feeling stressed when this appears and stays for a while?

When this does occur though, use a seperate towel to wipe down there, because the fluid inside it can be contagious and infect other parts of your body. If it is/continues to be painful a physician can give medication for the pain or it can be surgically removed.

It could be a pimple there because you probably sweat a lot and don't shower immediately after an activity. Your sweat gland could be getting clogged. Or it could be

# Hidradenitis suppurativa: This is a condition in which there are multiple abscesses that form under the armpits and often in the groin area. These areas are a result of local inflammation of the sweat glands. This form of skin infection is difficult to treat with antibiotics alone and typically requires a surgical procedure to remove the involved sweat glands in order to stop the skin inflammation.

Maybe you have Genital warts..?
