Why does a cold always seem to worsen at night?!

Question: When you lay down you take away most of the affects of gravity on your body. So things start to work there way out of your sinuses and lungs. You body dose most of it healing when you are resting anyway so it seems that it is worse. I find a position that is comfortable (on my side usually) and put a pillow between my knees for comfort and try to stay that way all night. Then my Lungs and sinuses adjust and i let my body do it,s thing. Colds are hell but all you can do is wait them out.If you cant take the symptom's then take something. I find it better to get in one position and wait it out.

I'm not sure, but I've had them, I have one now, and it's horrible, been six days now, and my nose is so raw from blowing it so much. The only relief I have found at night is some nyquil, over the counter stuff never seems to help.

Sometimes the anwser could be found around the level of humidity in your home.

Not sure but I have a cold right now. I've been taking nyquil and tylenol severe multisymptoms. They both work great, especially at night.
