Who's tired of Non-Smokers?!

Question: I have only smoked for 5 years and I swear i have heard the least creative, and pro-propagandized speach's from people who my habit doesnt consern. Random pleople in restaurants have said "You know that filthy, disgusting habit is going to kill you" as I walk in from smoking outside (as these non-smokers have bannished the presence of my cigarettes from their air)

I understand what you mean. As the first person demonstrates, this is a concern about respecting your right to smoke. While this is not the best habit, it is nonetheless legal. Besides, half these people that dont smoke overindulge in other things or tend to be overweight. The people that give you advice really should just shove it up their A**.

I say if you want to slowly kill yourself, go for it.

I don't let them bother me.........I know they're right. I just choose to take the high road and not say anything.

i know what you mean.when they say something to me i just completely ignore them as though i never even heard what they say,man that really gets under their skin ,worse than the smoke.

Go ahead and give yourself lung cancer, more earth left for us healthy people. But don't stand in front of every entrance so I have to bring my kids through your pollution.

I work to hard to be in good shape, to have you destroy that!

Why do you care what people say, unless on some level you believe the things they say. I am an ex-smoker but I never criticize anyone who continues to smoke as I know first hand that you have to want to quit if you're going to be successful at it. Perhaps some day you'll want to, but if not, that's your choice too. I suggest that if you feel you have to comment back, simply say "thank you for your concern" and go on your merry way.

I am a non-smoker, and I don't behave like the people you describe. Lots of my friends smoke, and since they are literate adults, I assume they are making an informed decision. I am however tired of judgmental people, smokers, non-smokers, whoever.

if u want to enjoy ur ***, go somewhere private so that u only pollute the air around you.

Just because u like to smoke doesn't mean the people around have to suffer your fate. u are polluting my air

i dont like when they say crap like that but they are right and im never going to smoke in my life...

I hate smelling smoke right in front of a store or a restaurant as I walk into it, I guess that's why other people make a comment because the smell can really be bothersome. I suppose if smoke smelled like roses or lasagna no one would complain about it. Could you imagine seeing a overweight person eating a big lasagna and saying something like "that's gonna kill you one day" as you walk by? Haha, nope that's unheard of. But I never say anything to anyone smoking because the smell only lasts a few seconds and life goes on.

Many people who say things like that have lost loved ones to a death brought on by smokes.
They may be in mourning and may not want others to go through what they and their loved ones have gone through.
