You know the old toothpaste on zit treatment? Well is it supposed to sting?!

Question: I have toothpaste on my zit and it stings a little bit.

Answers: I have toothpaste on my zit and it stings a little bit.

Toothpaste is for teeth, simply put. Not acne. If it was it would also be marketed as such. There are people who get severely burned by this 'trick'.
Do not use it - the area of acne is already infected. It needs to be treated with things tested for your face.
Stick to those or hot compresses -

It is probably an "open sore"... did you pop the zit before putting the toothpaste on? That would explain it. Kind of like getting lemon juice on a cut.

But toothpaste won't work better than the store bought stuff like oxy...

Also make sure it is actually the paste...gel will not do the trick, or at least is not reccomended.
