It is possible that you have mixed headaches. I get major migraines right before my periods.

The headache that makes you want to throw up is more then likely a vascular headache, Migraine being the most diagnosed.

Mixed headaches are common. If you have let's say a Migraine Headache it can be followed by a TENSION HEADACHE.

Tension headaches are not necessarily from day to day tension, but are often from physical stress.

The back of your skull may feel tight and sore, you neck may hurt and even extend to your shoulders. All of this is your body become tensed in reaction to other pain.

To help now, take a tylenol or other over the counter pain reliever. Place a warm washcloth on the back of your neck followed. Self-massage your neck muscles and the back of your skull.

Make an appointment with your eye doctor to ensure that your eyeglass prescription is correct and that there has been no major change that would require new glasses.

Make an appointment with your physician. Let him/her determine whether you need to go to a specialist or not.

your prescription may be wrong for your glasses

Definitely go to the doctor.

If it is a migraine, than you aunt is right. Medication is best when the doctor decides the right dose and type; sleep in the dark also helps migraines go away, but you will suffer the pain even laying still on the bed.

My son's dentist made him a mouthguard that fits in between his front teeth and it keeps him from grinding his teeth in his sleep and he gets way way fewer headaches since then.

For headaches beind the eyes (or sinus) just fill up a paper cup with real warm water, drop a good amount of sea salt in the cup, and drop the water into ur nose. Tilt ur head. Blow ur nose too thru this process. It def. relieves a good portion of the pain. But usually an ongoing headache like you have-sounds like a warning signal that something more serious is wrong. It may be something emotional, not physical, all depends. Also, medication is NOT the right answer. You'd be only covering up the underlying problem, what u need to do is go to either holistic doctors and ask them to help u figure out why u have headaches, or even better-take it into ur own hands and figure it out on ur own.

Aside from considering a new eye glass perscription, consider a neck and shoulder massage.

Test this yourself - using a regular pencil - eraser side, massage the back of your neck by shoulders, etc.
If this releases some of the pressue you probably need a deep tissue massage.
Good Luck

head on. apply directly to the forehead.

You need to take the time to get evaulated either by a neurologist who specializes in headaches, or a good internal medicine doctor. And you also need to get your eyes rechecked if you have glasses you should be getting your eyes checked at least once a year.

Try magnesium supplements, that is a natural muscle relaxer and should help with the neck pain. Benedryl or dramamine can help with the nausea.

But you need to deal with the pain that you are getting every day because an regular headache can increase the risk of a stroke.
