I used to get coldsores, but now I don't. Use Carex anti bacterial soap twice a day, every day for the rest of your life (like I have to). As soon as I stop using the soap, the damn coldsores come straight back again. ALWAYS wash your hands when they get dirty or you go to the loo and DON'T bite your nails (like I do). It might take a week to go, it depends if it's in the early stages and how bad it is.

The best thing to do is rub vinegar and salt into it - hurts like hell but will really clear it up.
No not really. Tea tree oil will though, its gunna sting but it will work,Try not to get it in your mouth too, it tastes bad.
buy abreva. it is expensive, like $16, but it really works. also, wash your hands all the time with soap so it does not spread. take lysine supplements, you can buy them at walgreens.
Go to your Chemist and purchase ZOVIRAX, use it liberally to cover the entire infected area about five times a day, it should then clear up quite quickly for you.
Use a colesore relief u can buy it at shoppers drug mart it works so well i bought 5 packs and my mouuth feels great u should try it. Plus it doesent hurt or sting! And u can get mint vlavour. Your colesore well be gone in not even 4 hours!

GO to your Doctor and get Zovirax. it is a topical ointment that will relieve the symptoms in a short time. if used properly you will reduce the cold sore in less then a week. Remember no cunnilingus, or you will transmit it to the gentile regions of your partner and that is not a good thing at all ...

There are a few different creams and things around to treat them but I've found perfume or aftershave works just as well. Just dab a bit on 3 or 4 times a day and it should be gone in a few days.

Boots sell some stuff but it costs six pounds something but there are two other cheaper brands which l always use. The six pounds stuff puts a film over it while it heals good stuff but l cannot remember the name ask at Boots it is advertised on TV.Good luck and a HAPPY NEW YEAR to you. I suffer with cold sores and when i get the tingle in my lip i apply bonjela to the area and it seems to work. plus you should take plenty of vit c.
I have found it takes about 2 weeks to clear up completely. You can buy Zovirax without a perscription, but it is very expensive for a tiny 2ml tube. If you apply it in the very first stages it can prevent it turning nasty. I wouldn't use anything else on a coldsore. The difficult thing I find is avoiding picking the scab off!
