Question: a bad bad sinus headache!! it feels like being stopped up for a few days! nausea and vomiting from a few things. one from the blood the goes to the stomach, two coming off the anesthetic gas makes you throw up, three the pain pills when taken on an empty stomach makes you nauseated, and four too much pain medicine slows gastric emptying = more nausea.

however you will feel much better the next day or two. basically it will be rough the first night. tough for about 2-3 days. gets way better after 3 days.

I'm not sure if I had this exact procedure, but I did have nasal surgery done in April. A ct scan revealed my septum was deviated. As a result, I was having sinus infections and allergies. I had it done at the Midwest Surgery Center in St Paul,MN. The procedure lasted about an hour, and I was put to sleep at the time. Surgery is never fun, but I recovered well. My nose was all stuffed up, but I never suffered from any pain! I had to take a week off work to recover, but I could still do most day-to -day-activities as long as I didn't overextend myself.

If you live in the minneapolis/ST Paul area, I recommend you go see DR.Inell Rosario. She's the one that operated on me.

Over 25 years ago I had sinus surgery.
Due to chronic allergys and difficulty breathing I had part of my nasal turbinates removed.
I'm sorry but turbinates may be incorrect spelling. But that's what the surgeon called them.
Anyway, for over 10 years afterwards I lost my sense of smell. I have no idea why, I'm not a doctor.
After that time and even today I have regained no more than 10% to 15% of my sense of smell back.
It's not like losing my sight but it has taken some getting used to. And, with some of the guys I hang out with, it hasn't always been a bad thing.
But I do miss not being able to smell and would not do it again and not recommend it to anyone.

Oddly enough and years later I was able to get rid of my allergys by working out in the gym regularly and gaining about 12-15 pounds of muscle weight.
Like I said, don't ask me why. I'm not a doctor.
