RPR and VDRL tests for syphilis become positive about 4-6 weeks after infection or 1-3 weeks after the appearance of a lesion. You should probably be okay with a test at 6 weeks, but you can ask the clinic to see what they normally do.

FYI, if you get a primary lesion, it will go away on its on within a week or two, but that does NOT mean you are cured. It can come back to cause much more extensive problems later on. It needs to be treated with penicillin.

sounds good

I don't understand why you need to wait for that long. With any STDs, you should need to wait no longer than 2 weeks.. Why don't you go to a private clinic if you think you might have syphillis ?

you are lucky, syphillis is out dated. Test for HIV.
