How long does it take for prescription anti-nausea meds to work??!

Question: Most anti-emetics only calm the nausea. It usually takes resolving the reason for the nausea. If it is a stomach virus, then time will heal the nausea. Be easy on the stomach and let it rest until it is able to tolerate food. At this point add food slowly.

Depends on what you took but average 30 minutes or so

depends what it is for??? Cancer of liver?? From chemo??? My mum had anti nausea tablets very frequently she had kidney, liver and lung cancer and was only sick 4 months. We found they didnt work very well at all she was on maxolon. But Mums liver tumor was over 12cm. For a 'normal' prescription i would say 30 mis. If in doubt contact your doctor

They work pretty rapidly..about 30 mins, however, they are not a cure-all. They just help the nausea subside somewhat. There are some anti-emetics (anti-nausea) drugs that work better than others depending on the source of your nausea.
